G'cat is a Fortian, true and through. He's born, bred, raised, and Impressed, all in and true to Fort. To be entirely honest, he lives and breaths Fort values, which can be mildly irritating, and entirely useful, depending on who you are, and how you relate to him. For a woman, you can depend on his word, and nothing more- he'll provide exactly the specifications his word offered, and not a single thing more.
And he won't be offering his heart, his life, or his devotion. For his Weyrleader, Wingleader, Weyrwoman and Weyr itself, well, he's offered and given his entire world. Which is really why he ended up in Igen in the first place. If you need to send someone who isn't entirely irreplaceable, but valuable and useful, he's the first man on anyone's list. And you can be sure he won't embarrass his new Weyr, and he will still manage to remain true to his old Weyr.
