Name: O’sarl (Ovosarl pre-impression)
Gender: Male
Age: 23 Turns
Orientation: Bisexual. Though he has an obvious preference toward men, he would never turn down a good looking figure asking for his services.
Rank: Searchrider
Family:
Father – O’rak of Blue Jimmith – 43 Turns – Wingrider @ Telgar Weyr
Mother - Sarline – 41 Turns - Lower Caverns Woman @ Telgar Weyr
Half Brother – O’bej of Brown Devrenth – 21 Turns
Appearance:
O’sarl boasts a light tan that matches his sandy blonde hair which he keeps at finger length. A wavy mat upon his head, he loves the way it tousles in the wind and loves even more the feeling of fingers running through it. Despite his preference for long hair, his life as a dragonrider keeps him practical with hair that will stay out of his eyes while riding.
A long, strong neck holds a face not quite as rugged as many riders. In fact it has a soft and easy smile that shows many white teeth. Eyebrows outline baby blue eyes, a feature he shares with his halfbrother, O’bej. Those blue eyes are quick to capture weakened hearts and even quicker to capture searching ones.
As a dragonrider, he has a muscled body, though he does well trying to give it a softened, almost feminine look by wearing loose white shirts that only accent his blonde hair and blue eyes. Large hands are unusually soft as he oils his green just as often as he lotions himself, preferring to have a soft touch compared to many men’s rough and calloused one. While there is strength in his grip, he rarely uses it when not in drills or fighting thread.
Personality:
O’sarl’s feminine side shines through most brightly in his collection of bath oils. There is nothing more in the world that O’sarl loves more (besides his lovely green Yarith) than a long soak in a bubble bath with a strong man and an occasional woman. He has taken up the hobby of massage and many have swooned over his practiced fingers.
Another hobby O’sarl loves to practice is the torture of his younger brother. Constantly picking on the younger man for his appearance and his need to ‘experiment’ with multiple bed partners, O’sarl silently regrets that his brother is related but at the same time has no qualms claiming such a striking young man as a blood relative. Often times he is found bragging him up to nearby cavern folk and riders.
O’sarl takes one more pleasure and that is openly torturing the obviously heterosexual Male riders. There is very little that is more satisfying than watching a man pale as he throws his arms around him from behind and embarrassing the man in front of his friends. A practice started to keep the more masculine of men from causing the greenrider problems for his personal preferences.
When it comes to his duty as a dragonrider within his wing, agreeable is one way to put O’sarl. Similar to his brother, he doesn’t put his all into drills and doesn’t push his dragon as hard as many. While he does train enough to keep up with the wing, he prefers to practice is greens agility over stamina. He loves the feeling of freefall and many have said that the pair is reckless with their own lives in their pursuit of a faster, further fall.
History:
Born the son of a bluerider, Ovosarl was one of the few weyrbrats who was actually raised by his mother rather than the crèche. Ask anyone in Telgar and they will tell how just how adorable of a bouncy baby boy he had been as well. All chubby smiles, he was well liked throughout the lower caverns right from day one.
At the age of two, another baby came into his and his mother’s life. The similarity in looks was almost startling between the toddler and the baby Ovosarl’s mother had chosen to foster from her half sister. While Ovosarl was so use to being dolted upon, it seemed he was just waiting for the day he could dolt as well, and it was upon Oebeja his attentions were turned to.
The two seemed a match made in heaven as they grew up, perfectly inseparable. It seemed Oebeja strived to impress Ovosarl as much as Ovosarl strived to make Oebeja smile as often as possible. With the two boys all smiles and laughter and always seen together, it seemed to only bring similar laughter to the eyes of the lowercavern folk which was probably the reason they got away with as much as they did.
So inseparable were the brother’s spirits that they were even destined to impress together. Impressing hatchlings who had hatched within seconds of each other, the brothers moved onto the next step of their life together, with their new lifemates in tow.
It was with the impression of Yarith that O’sarl came to the realization that while so many of the other boys were found watching the girls in their chores, O’sarl was often found watching the boys. Unsure at first, he attempted to hide his preference until an older rider came to talk to the green weyrlings. After the talk, he was surprised and relieved to find that he was not the only male green rider who found his eyes watching both sexes.
As graduation grew closer, it was obvious to all that O’sarl’s brown riding brother was sliding further and further behind the rest of the class. Concerned for his brother and honestly not being able to consider graduating without him, O’sarl began coaxing his brother to try just a little harder. A noticeable improvement came and O’bej did graduate with O’sarl, though O’sarl is left to wonder if it was his coaxing that did the job or the realization that they could be separated if they didn’t graduate together.
Well even if it was the latter, they ended up separated despite how hard O’bej had worked to stay with his brother. Assigned to different wings, the brothers went through a season of lonely turmoil. The quick decline in both brothers health and most noticeably the decline in O’bej’s work ethic forced the wingleaders to put the two together again into the wing simply to get the two motivated – at least slightly – once more.
The falling of thread didn’t really cause a change for either brother, the only real difference was that they had more work to do and less free time to play. But that only made the two play harder and disappear faster once they were released for a restday. Even the closing of Igen Weyr didn’t seem to strike home the seriousness of Pern’s situation until O’sarl was confronted with the offer of being transferred to Igen in its reopening.
Apparently the need for searchriders was high and O’sarl found himself up all night thinking of the events happening all across Pern rather than those events taking place in his and his brother’s weyrs. He returned the next day to his Weyrleader to accept the new station, for the first time doing something for the greater good that did not involve bedding the nearest cutie or hooking up his younger brother.
The only favor he asked was for his brother to be sent with him. A favor quickly granted. And thus the arrival of the Telgar brothers in the middle of the desert.

Dragon Info:
Name: Yarith
Age: 8 Turns
Color: Green
Appearance:
Yarith takes on the green hue of a baby fern just ready to unwrap its fronds. Bright, radiant and full of life, her body holds a slightly darker, healthier green while her wings resemble the young fronds in a slightly paler coloring than her body.
An average sized green, Yarith really boasts nothing special beyond her bright coloring. Regular build for a green with an average length tail and an average wingspan, it really is only the shades of green of her hide that catch anyone’s attention.
If there is any feature upon her that would call for special notice, it is her unusually expressive face. She is often found with her mouth slightly ajar in her best attempt to imitate her riders hearty smile, though this usually only succeeds in making non-riders uneasy. That’s when her strong purr comes in handy with newly searched candidates.
Personality:
Yarith’s personality is often compared to that of a feline. It seems the more attention that is given to her by others outside of O’sarl, O’bej and Devrenth the more she makes a point of ignoring the offender. Likewise, the more an individual ignores her, the more insistent she becomes for their attention. Whoever said females were easy to understand?!?
History:
There was the shell, nice and warm and protecting, but far too small to stay. So I left. That was when I found O’sarl.
O’sarl was perfect and O’bej was cute and Devrenth was fun. Weyrlinghood was fun.
Flights are a great time! I get all sorts of attention, though sometimes it is too much so I try to fly faster and further. They always catch me though, but that is great fun too. I’m glad they never stick around. I would hate to share my time with any besides O’sarl.
Thread came and we flew as dragons are meant to. Devrenth and I were great, we never got scored and our riders were always safe, which is good, I would not let O’sarl get hurt, not ever!
They want us to go to Igen, I hear it has sands like a beach and I like beaches, but they say there is no water. What is a beach with no water? I suspect it will be dry.
Clutch: Same as Brown Devrenth.
Hatching Order: 5th
Wing: Same as Brown Devrenth please?
