"AAAACHOO!" She sneezed for what felt like the millionth time that morning. Quinn had already had one coughing fit too. If the last Goldriders didn't care about the state of the records room she did! Of course the problem with not having enough workers was that you couldn't pull anyone from their regular chores to do this sort of thing for you. All Quinn had wanted was to look up the past clutch records of Igen and have them on hand should anyone ask about a dragon that was sent to another Weyr. It was her responsibility to keep up on those things. Besides it couldn't hurt to know a little more history about Igen. "AAACHOO!!" Quinn wiped her nose with the back of her hand.
That was it. She needed a break. Slipping her sandals back on, she set foot in the hallway and made her way towards the kitchens. The dress she was wearing had a red jeweled clasp around the neck and hung down her body loosely but she was thin enough that it did not make her look like a box. Besides then she looked like she was wearing jewelry without the annoyance of actually wearing any. The dress itself was of a light fabric, pink in color, that moved with her as she walked.
When she got to the Weyrhall she tried to slip through without being noticed. It was busy around midday and she only wanted a little snack so instead of bothering one of the serving drudges she headed for the entrance to the kitchens.
Quinn made her way in without much difficulty, the short staffed kitchen workers would hardly notice another woman walking through. Of course Quinn was looking for something yummy and not necessarily good for her. She would work it off later on a run or a swim. She slid past one young woman, lightly touching her shoulder before finding the bubbly pies. Just as she was about to pick the pie up off the table, a voice came from behind her and it didn't sound pleased.
