It has been a long while since the gods first arrived within a land that they named themselves. This land, dubbed ‘Elenlond’, meaning Celestial Haven, is split into two continents, one open and free, the other completely isolated from the rest. Surrounding these two continents – Soare and Esiria, respectively – there are the Scattered Isles and hidden within them are the Neutral Grounds – territory that belongs to none of the three known nations of Soare: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. But these nations, prior to recent times, were once divided into elemental kingdoms.

These deities, who had once reigned supreme, have now all fallen, save one. She has retired to Esiria, still a major facet of the peoples’ lives there, a factor contributing to Esiria’s complete isolation and inaccessibility; it has become, in essence, dead to the world that surrounds it. The gods have taken on the roles of everyday people since their fall from grace, but only those who were devout followers or knowledgeable of the world might recognize them in public. The world, now divided into nations and power groups, lives in peace.
