Name: C'nal (Cuvenal)
Gender: Male
Age: 30
Orientation: Bisexual
Rank: Wingrider
Family: Delt, runnerbeast rider, deceased at 26 turns (Father)
Ientha, lower caverns woman at Keroon Hold, 50 turns (Mother)
Setia, apprentice healer, 15 turns (daughter)
Cevala, 10 turns (daughter)
Carale, 9 turns (daughter)
Cuena, 7 turns (daughter)
Caeval, 4 turns (daughter)
Ienthala, 1 turn (daughter)
Pets: None
Appearance: Boyish, despite his turns. C'nal has never managed to lose the overall look of youth in his round facial features, and his short stature and fit build don't help his cause. The brownrider stands at only about 5'4'' tall, and his bulk is uninspiring. He doesn't quite curse his build, since it contributed greatly to his success as a runner rider, but he wouldn't mind a few more inches to his credit, as it can be frustrating to look up to Weyrlings. His forehead is broad, but it only adds to the roundness of his face and cheeks. His jawline is fairly square, and outlined by the scruff of facial hair that he can manage, but his big brown eyes offset any harshness given to his countenance by those features. Even his low eyebrows fail to bring a true seriousness to his face. His ruffled hair is mid-brown with the slightest touch of red to it.
C'nal cares little for what he wears. So long as his clothing fits well enough, which is actually a tall order considering his short stature, he's pleased. He does allow his clothing choice to be influenced by his partners, though it is more to please them than himself. He fancies easy, simple color tones like browns and other neutrals.
His appearance is based on Elijah Wood: www.imdb.com/media/rm1747294720/nm0000704
Personality: C'nal sees life as an exciting journey that must be lived to the fullest. Rather than fearing the unknown, or shying away from risks, C'nal embraces new experiences as different paths along the road of life. Given the chance, C'nal will talk for ever about the things he's done, the people he's met, and what he still wants to do with his life, and he eagerly listens to anyone else willing to tell their tales. This particular facet of his personality has left some thinking he's little more than a boastful, egocentric story-teller, but he only means to share his experiences. Truthfully, had life taken him in another direction, C'nal could have been a Harper with his dramatic sense of story.
He does have a bit of a Napoleon complex about him. C'nal does every task assigned to him with 110% effort just to keep people from excusing his failure because of his height. He rarely loses his temper, preferring to laugh at things that annoy him instead of get angry, but he truthfully does not take short jokes well. The last person to whisper a crack about his height was a Weyrling who moved firestone sacks for half a day.
The brownrider makes no excuses for himself, and you'll never hear him apologizing if he rubs someone the wrong way. As many will tell you, C'nal simply is C'nal.
History: Cuvenal was born to follow in his father's footsteps. Even as a very young child, Cuvenal had a great love and respect for runners, and his father had him astride the beasts early on. He doesn't remember much of his father, the man died when he was only just four turns old, but he does remember the man's love for riding. His mother Ientha knew she could no more keep her son from runnerbeasts than she could stop him from breathing, so she settled for always reminding him to stay safe. His mother never took another partner after his father's death during a race, but he didn't want for lack of a father figure as his father's friends in the stables were happy to help look after him.
Cuvenal often challenged the other Hold boys to races on their little runners, and often came out the winner. His first "official" race at a gather came during his tenth turn, and he smartly beat the other youngsters pitted against him. From then on, his teen years were a blur of traveling and racing. Cuvenal went to Holds well noted for their runners like Ruatha and still brought in marks for those who betted on him. His races were not without incident, he toppled from his runner on occasion as any rider will, but he managed to avoid serious injury. While at a Turn's end celebration in Keroon during his fifteenth turn, Cuvenal had his first true encounter with a female, Emalenne, and nine months later he had a daughter to his credit. He and Emalenne were hardly more than babies themselves, and Emalenne's family was less than pleased, so his mother graciously offered to take care of the girl.
Two turns later, the thrill of racing was starting to wear off for Cuvenal, when another opportunity presented itself. He was in the stables of a small hold working on a new line of runners for Keroon when a wing of search dragons filled the sky. After calming down the frightened runnerbeasts, Cuvenal joined the greeting party and was later given the invitation to stand for a clutch of eggs at Ista Weyr. Cuvenal gladly accepted the new adventure to keep his life thrilling, and impressed brown Lohontath from the clutch later that turn.
Soon after graduating from weyrling training, Cuvenal found his thrills in the lower caverns with the women and, surprisingly, with some of the greenriding men. His six daughters, all from different willing women, speak highly of his fondness for the opposite sex, but the freedom of the Weyr has lead men to his bed without the help of mating flights as well. G'nein has been a frequent visitor to his weyr, and Lohontath often speaks of Esameth as his favorite green, but it seems as if neither pair wants monogamy.

Dragon Info:
Name: Lohontath
Age: 13 turns
Color: Brown
Appearance: Lohontath is on the larger side of the size spectrum for browns, with long, broad wings, a thick neck, and powerful musculature. His hide is a deep mahogany brown color with slightly darker brown streaks throughout that can be seen if you really examine him.
Personality: Lohontath is a steady, sturdy dragon. He loves his rider's drive to prove himself, and eagerly pushes himself to exceed expectations as well. Emotionally, Lohontath is extremely level and, overall, quite calm. Waking up is perhaps his one flaw. Lohontath loves his sleep, and getting him ready to go in the morning is quite the effort.
History: Lohontath hatched after nine of his clutchmates with an ungainly tumble onto the sands. Lohontath remembers long days, and being forced to wake up so early, during weyrling training. After that, he and C'nal got their own weyr, with a great big couch, which was definitely better than the little ones in the weyrling barracks. Lohontath has caught his fair share of greens over the turns, and he knows C'nal has had other partners beyond their flights. He likes the little ones C'nal has made, though they do get quite noisy at times. Lohontath is ready and eager to join this new Weyr, especially because there will be new greens.
